Word from the Devs
If you didn’t catch it, we pushed a new patch a couple of days ago. It included a performance optimization for players with a lot of exploration history that were experiencing some lag. If you were affected by this, please let us know whether you noticed a difference after updating to the patch, or if you tried the ‘Clear Exploration History’ button we added.
Another patch should be along soon! We’re not actively working on any new features right now, the focus is still on fixing bugs – including the exploits that we’re aware of (e.g. fleets larger than the flagship should be able to support).
Alongside this we are also preparing some changes to balance. But these changes would have to come with a new Awaken the Dark galaxy, so we may well launch another Awaken the Dark galaxy later this month. What do you think?
Main 1 + Skirmish 1 Galaxies to be Removed
We also plan to remove some older galaxies this month. On August 17, the Main 1 + Skirmish 1 galaxies will be removed. They’ve been running since October 2019 and were superseded by the Main 2 + Skirmish 2 galaxies (which will carry on as normal).
Main 1 + Skirmish 1 were the last galaxies players testing the game for free before Early Access were able to join. If you are playing in Main 1 or Skirmish 1, you will now need to purchase Outscape on Early Access to be able to join the newer galaxies and those that are launched in future. Your support will help make Outscape a better game 🙂

Congratulations to Kenosis for topping both Grand Emperor and Master of Warfare leaderboards!
Kenosis announced this week that having achieved top spot on several leaderboards they would be stepping back from the Awaken the Dark galaxy (Kenosis also left a lot of excellent feedback on the forum that we’re grateful for).
It will be challenging – Kenosis has racked up huge scores – but will one of the other players at the top be able to claim the No.1 position for themselves by next week? We’ll have to wait and see 🙂

It’s incredibly tight at the top of the Grand Alliance leaderboard though. Not much in it at all between BLACK and SOLID. Will BLACK be able to continue their dominant run at the top for another week?
