Hello again 🙂 And welcome to our weekly Developer diaries.
It’s pretty hectic in the office right now. The team is busy getting the features finished for the new galaxy, preparing the end game challenge for the current Alpha galaxy (details to follow soon in another post) and readying the next patch.
Fleet merging and splitting is ready for the next patch and something worth taking a look at in this post. We had to spend a fair bit of design time on it as the current way of doing things has been frustrating both new and old players alike![Read more…]
Hello friends! And welcome back to our weekly developer diary.
We’re still working on both the next patch and getting the game ready to launch a second galaxy – but doing so hasn’t been without its difficulties.
The improved galaxy/environment generation has taken a little longer than expected, but the upside is as part of the next update some of your planets may have a new look 🙂 We hope/expect the next patch will go live in a week.
Work on the new player profiles and leaderboards is progressing well and they should be ready within the next few weeks. In the meantime, we thought as part of today’s post it would be interesting to take a closer look at how players are profiled in general.[Read more…]

Hello again 🙂 And welcome to our weekly Dev diary.
This week, the main tasks the dev team have been working on are the continuation of the tech tree (see our last post for details), implementing a new battle results screen and the enhanced UI top bar hints – which give you so much more usable info than the current ones e.g. for the fleets hint, how many ships are currently constructing across all shipyards. Fleet menu commands for merging and splitting are also somewhere between very nearly done and done 🙂

Hi Friends and welcome back!
It’s been a couple of weeks since the last patch but we’ll have another one ready for you in a week or two! Right now the devs have a few things on the go – some of which will be included in the next patch, but other things you’ll have to wait until the next galaxy to see…
Attack and return mode is done as are some UI changes we think you’re gonna love – both will be amongst the inclusions in the next patch. Remember, you can keep track of where we are with the roadmap here.
On the other hand, a big roadmap task we started this week was the restructure of the tech tree – but this is something you’ll have to wait for the next galaxy to launch before you’ll be able to get to work on it 🙂
